Terms and Conditions for Westend Portraits


Session Fees / Deposits


The deposit fee covers Our time to capture your images in our studio, or on location. It does not include any images and is due at time of booking.


Cancellation Policy


Cancellations must be made 48hrs in advance of your session date. All cancellations made within 48hrs forfeits your session fee.


Each client is allowed one rescheduling credits for their portrait sessions.


Fulfilment of Obligations


There is no guarantee of the number of images presented from a session. Many factors contribute to this. As  creative artists, Westend Portraits will aim to select up to 30 images for your viewing and ordering session.


Retouching of images


All retouching work will be in line with our usual editing style. We use professional retouchers who hand edit your images in a natural style as seen on my website. Retouching of images outside of my own style might be available as long as it still represents our work as seen on our website.


There will be an additional charge for retouching of tan lines, stray or messy hair, radical wrinkle removal, drastic slimming and any face swaps.


A quote will be issued before any extra work begins and the customer will settle the outstanding invoice at the time of order.


Use of Images


If you do not wish for Westend Portraits to feature your images on their website, blog or on social media sites please make your wishes be known.


Delivery of Products


The supply of products and services are provided by the Photographer on a best endeavours basis. The Photographer will not be liable for delays that are beyond their reasonable control. The Photographer shall use reasonable endeavours to meet agreed deadlines where applicable. The Photographer shall not be liable for any delays in meeting any of his/her obligations which were due to causes beyond his/her reasonable control including but not limited to; postage/courier/lab delays, war/acts of terrorism, riots, government legislation, industrial action, adverse weather conditions, acts of God, floods, fire, loss or damage in transit etc.


 Rush Services


The Photographer reserves the right make an additional charge should the Client request a rush service. This service is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.


Receipt of portraits, products or wall art


All orders are presumed to have been received in good condition unless the client notifies Westend Portraits in writing of any discrepancy or error within 14 days of receipt.


Unordered Images


All images which have not been ordered will be transferred into an archive three months after your session. Storing of images and retrieving images from storage will incur a £100 fee.


Cooling off period


All portraits, books, albums, frames are non-refundable. Orders cannot be cancelled due to the custom nature of the products. Orders are made to the client’s personal specification, (i.e. image number, print size, frame style, etc.), the client does not have the right to a cooling off period. By placing an order with Westend Portraits you are committing to buy the ordered products.


Returns policy


Incorrectly supplied items and items of poor quality can be returned and will be replaced at no extra charge to the client. Returns will not be considered for incorrectly ordered items or items ordered in error.


Copyright & Reproduction


All image can be copied, scanned or reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior consent of Westend Portraits’. The client may alter or add to or manipulate a picture by any means without written permission. Permission to reproduce a picture for personal use or Business use is granted to the client when digital negatives are purchased and paid in full by the client to Westend Portraits. Westend Portraits retains the right to use all images taken  on their Website , Advertising and business needs




Cameras, mobile phone cameras and camcorders are not permitted during any session, in studio or on location without permission.

Westend Portraits  (Photographers) shall not be liable to the client for any failure, in whole or in part, to fulfil her obligations where failure arises as a result of an event or circumstances beyond her control, which may include (but are not limited to) equipment failure, inclement weather, illness or injury. Special requests are not binding instructions although every effort is made to comply with the client’s wishes. In the unlikely event of total photographic failure or cancellation of the contract by Westend Portriats liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid.
